Spider-Man 3 is currently in production and Tom Holland has returned for a third time to the franchise to play the leading double role of Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
If all things go to plan, fans of the Marvel movie can expect to see it towards the end of 2021 – however, things are ever-changing in the movie world as a result of the pandemic.
Speaking on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Holland revealed very little about the new feature film but did mention that the script was very ambitious.

“Obviously, I can’t really say anything,” Holland said.
“I can say that it’s the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made. You sit down, read the script, and see what they’re trying to do, and they’re succeeding. It’s really impressive. I’ve never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it.”
Holland explained that he feels lucky to be the person playing the role of Spider-Man. He also mentioned the production timeline of the movie and said that they started shooting some of it at the end of last year.

Holland said: “We got a lot more shooting to do. We started before Christmas and shot for like seven weeks. We stopped for the Christmas break, and then we’re starting again. I’m just as excited as everyone else to see it, let alone be a part of it.”
There is currently no official name for the Spider-Man 3 project, based on everything we know, we can expect to see a live-action Spider-Verse added to the MCU.
There will also be a number of surprising returns from across the entire Spider-Man live-action catalogue of movies.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. A third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland has a release date of December 17, 2021.
